
About Meghan
Born and raised in Key West, Florida, Meghan Barter’s journey in music and theater began early.
​During her teenage years, Meghan immersed herself in the local arts scene. She balanced school with busking at the renowned Mallory Square Sunset Celebration, and By 14, she was a working musician sharing her talents across the island.
​
​In 2019, Meghan pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater at the University of West Florida. During her time in Pensacola, she honed her vocal skills, performed in various productions, and began songwriting. She earned her BFA in 2023.
​
Upon returning to Key West, Meghan’s musical career flourished. In 2024, she performed at events such as the Key West Songwriters Festival, headlined Key West Fantasy and Key Lime Festival, Released her first EP HUman Jukebox, and Won Song of the Year for the title track at the 2026 Key West Music awards.
​
Throughout her journey, Meghan has collaborated with numerous talented musicians and remains a vibrant presence in Key West’s dynamic music community. Building on her island roots, she continues to share her music, energy, and storytelling with audiences near and far, wherever the music may take her.
